Privacy Notice

This notice explains how RBM Mineral Resources CC (registration 2008/036156/23), trading as Gold2Cash ("we"), processes your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

Your name, contact details and the description and photos of items you send us for a quote. When you sell to us we also collect your identity number, a copy of your ID or passport, proof of residence, bank confirmation and the particulars of the goods.

Why we collect it

To prepare quotations and buy goods from you; to pay you; and to meet our legal duties as a licensed precious metals dealer and second-hand goods dealer, including the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (customer due diligence and record-keeping), the Second-Hand Goods Act, the Precious Metals Act and tax law (including VAT264 records).

Who sees it

Our staff who handle your transaction, and regulators, the Financial Intelligence Centre, SARS or SAPS where the law requires it. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.

How long we keep it

Transaction and identification records are kept for at least five years after the transaction, as FICA requires. Quote requests that do not lead to a sale are deleted after twelve months.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your information (subject to our legal retention duties), or object to processing, by writing to info@gold2cash.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za). Our PAIA manual and compliance policies are published by RBM Group at rbmgroup.co.za.
